Welcome Our members are retired business and professional persons residing in Durham Region, including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Brooklin, Oshawa and other areas. Our monthly meetings feature informative and entertaining speakers. Along with monthly social events and 23 activity groups who meet regularly, its a great way to meet new people, make new friends and discover new interests. 2025 ANNUAL HOLIDAY LUNCHEON Our 2025 Annual Holiday Luncheon will be held on Thursday, December 11th at the Ajax Convention Centre, 515 Beck Crescent, Ajax, Ontario. The celebrations will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Potluck Lunch We will be celebrating our 17th anniversary as a club, in the form of a potluck lunch, at our February General Meeting. This will allow us to celebrate with all the friends we have made over the years and partake of some of your favourite dishes. We are asking that you register through the website to ensure that we have enough tables and chairs for everyone. We are not asking participants to bring a specific dish this year. It's your choice! “The Big Guy” and “The Recipe Lady” are sending Seasons Greetings along with a message for a Joyous and Prosperous New Year 2026 to all the Probus Members who have enjoyed reading my quirky recipes and those who have followed the riotous antics in our household. |
Every Christmas we make mountains of snacks for Christmas visitors and sometimes package some as small edible gifts. Here are two recipes that I have made in my own kitchen and that “The Big Guy” thoroughly enjoys. I have to be very good to “The Big Guy” in this particular post because it is the gifting season and I need to be just a tiny bit naughty and syrupy nice this month.
